is still one of the best out there, it’s

which I did, and then he began interrogating my
computer at length. I would like to express my

and nothing to do with bugs. I think I must have
hit two command keys at the same time, which switched
something on. I had no knowledge of. However,
the problem remained unresolved until I uninstalled
my mouse and keyboard drivers and rebooted, which

sort of diligence that pays dividends when dealing

I have webroot spysweeper installed on my computer
and I run a sweep once a week. It never finds
any spyware. When strange things were starting
to show up on my computer, I started to get suspicious.
While looking through services and applications
on my computer I noticed one that said “ErrorSmart.exe”
and after that it said “hasn’t been
run yet”. When I tried to run it, it directed
me to their web site. When I ran the free scan
it found 474 problems and for just $19.95 it would
fix all of them. I purchased the product and fixed

to improve performance. For the next 7 hours I
did some extensive research on spyware.
On comparison sites, your product ranked first

I was at my witts end with pop ups and thought
I would have to take my pc in and have it wiped
as I have had to do in the past. I downloaded
the free version of spywaredetector which found
no less than 864 files involved, it cleaned the

found, and was using xsoft spy by paretologic
and also lavasoft adaware se. None of these were
detecting the problem let alone trying to remove
it.
A week or so after I had bought spyware detector
my partner bought a laptop and before he had an
opportunity to put all the antivirus and spyware
detector in place he had got something on his
machine that was popping things up all over. I
downloaded spyware detector for him but it unfortunately
was unable to get rid of this trojan zlob thing.
Maxpcsecure Tech Support accessed his pc remotely
and with pop ups coming up all over the place
I watched in amazement as they systematically
went into different files etc and got rid of this
nasty.
We also had a problem sending the log reports
due to our ISP smtp, once again these guys accessed
my pc and used it to test out new modules, they
have now developed a new module that will soon
be on general release.
These guys are the tops. No expensive 0900 numbers
to dial, speak to them via an online chat to resolve
your issue or email them they respond very rapidly
and you are not left waiting days for an answer,
and this software is very reasonably priced, I
dread to think what I would have paid to take
my pc in to be cleaned, and would possibly lost
all of my data as well.

By Friday my computer was running very sluggish.
I ran Spybot Search and Destroy. It zapped quite
a few of them. One item slowing down my browser
loading was my Earthlink tool bar add on. I removed
it and I got my browser loading speed back. I
ran Avast Home Edition 4.7 and it found a few
viruses. I put in Google, "Free Online Spyware
Scan" and selected you guys to do a scan.
When the scan finished Spyware Detector found
63 items not found by the other competitors including
the free Ad AdAware SE. Afterwards, I went to
Panda's free online Active Scan and found 4 entries
of so called spyware with a very low threat level
that I didn't bother to remove after running Spyware

but this one was the exception. The article talks
specifically about Spybot and Ad-aware, both of
which I have used. Spybot gave me nothing but
grief with conflicts with my operating system
(Windows XP) and Ad-aware resulted in a total
loss of data on my hard drive. Recently I had
a somewhat unusual problem with everything on
my brand new Acer laptop running brutally slow.
Web pages were taking up to two minutes to download.
I ran some of your utilities to check my internet
connection and they showed as fine. I contacted
my ISP, Shaw Cable, who spent almost an hour with
me carefully reviewing every single aspect of
my computer, and trying various alternate start-ups.
They found it very unusual that something was
altering my proxy setup on my internet connection,
no matter how we ran the startup. They gave up
and suggested I try to find a better spyware program.
I am also running Norton Internet Security, which
found no problems. In my research I found a program
called Spyware Detector. I downloaded it and ran
it, and it found numerous threats and spyware
infections, all of which it removed safely. It
also came with a Registry cleaner, which also
found numerous problems and corrected them all.
My computer returned to health and I've had no
problems since. I emailed everyone I know who
also ran this program and it found they too had
numerous problems, all of which it corrected.
It boils down to you "get what you pay for".
"Free" gets you nothing. I cannot recommend
Spyware Detector enough." |
