Enhanced signature algorithm
with optimized memory, faster Scan speed and
multi-Threaded Updates with Resume:
We released another enhanced version 19.0.1.010 of
Max Spyware Detector 2010 only
2 days back . We added better Detection and
Quarantine feature for packed files since more than
80% of spyware this year are estimated to use one or
more packers/encryptions / compressors to morph
themselves. Our scanner goes deep into the packed
file, unpacks it safely and scans for the real
virus/spyware files hiding inside.
We also added a download manager which not
only allows you to Resume the download but also
facilitate faster downloads using new multithreaded
update module. This feature will help all of our
customers download updates much faster. Since
we believe so much in SPEED, our new signature
algorithm uses much lower memory usage so you can
continue to do other work while we download, update
and scan your pc against malware. This feature is
very much appreciated by many customers as Spyware
Detector is thinner now as compared to
other av / anti-spyware scanners and that is why we
can run FASTER. We have to win the race against the
Spyware even as their presence on internet is
increasing.
We also added Deep Scan feature in addition to Full
Scan to scan for non standard file extensions used by spyware program to hide themselves from
standard file extensions such .exe for an executable
and so on. Plus we improved detection on packed
files.

All of our products are now windows 7 compatible as
you can review from here

and we are now Microsoft certified Partner.
Be careful of SPAM.
According to the CSI / FBI Computer Crime and Security
Survey, Cybercrime threats posed to targeted
organizations are increasing faster than many
organizations can combat them
http://www.crime-research.org/news/26.01.2010/3764/
.So what can you do to protect yourself?...
Make your PASSWORDS hard to CRACK. Studies have
found that the shortness and simplicity of passwords
means many users select credentials that will make
them susceptible to basic forms of cyber
attacks known as 'brute force attacks'. Nearly 50%
of users used names, slang words, dictionary words,
or trivial passwords. For enterprises, password
insecurity can have serious consequences. "Employees
using the same passwords on Facebook that they use
in the workplace bring the possibility of
compromising enterprise systems with insecure
passwords, especially if they are using
easy-to-crack passwords like '123456'
You should also try to maintain
browser privacy as much as possible, review this
article
http://www.crime-research.org/news/12.01.2010/3760/
. You could use safe browser such as ie 8 with
inPrivate browsing by clicking on Tools> InPrivate
Browsing and InPrivate Filtering, "InPrivate
Browsing helps prevent Internet Explorer from
storing data about your browsing session. This
includes cookies, temporary Internet files, history,
and other data. Toolbars and extensions are disabled
by default". You can check other browsers
that you use if they provide similar features.
Be
careful when you get an email to distinguish between
SPAM and legit email. No Bank or PayPal or Ebay or
any other service will EVER ask you to insert your
user name and password in email links, NEVER a legit
mail will ask you for that. Watch
the Domain names of emails, do not accept an email
as legit if it contains your bank name after some
other url such as
http://www.123.45.678.23/hsbcaccounts/asd/123/login.aspx...
. If HSBC or your bank has to send you an email it
should come form their domain name such as
www.hsbc.com/123/...
DO NOT download any program that promises to give
you goodies for FREE. There are no free lunches in
this world. Keep a good, paid anti-virus /anti-spyware
program which can keep you protected. .

13.7 percent of searches for
trending news/buzz words (as
defined by Yahoo Buzz & Google
Trends) led to malware. Search
engine optimization poisoning
attacks target the top searches
enabling hackers to drive
traffic to their sites. Overall,
comparing the second half of
2009 with the same period in
2008, there has been an average
growth of 225 percent in
malicious websites.
Looking at these cyber risks very quickly coming up
along with the growth of networking sites in
near future, we recently registered 3 domains
facebookprotector.com / .net,
socialmediaprotector.com / .net and
twitterprotector.com / .net and very soon will be
posting / developing news and products related to
Social sites SPAM and threats on them for our user's
