Spyware Research Lab at Max Secure Software...Unleashing the Technology Marvel for you

Let me take this opportunity to introduce our Research lab and efforts that Max Secure Software is putting into managing a world class product Spyware Detector.  For the knowledge of our customers, we will be posting these blogs frequently . My personal goal is to be able to find time from my very busy daily schedule to  publish  a new blog once a day and invite your feedback.

Our Research team consists of very dedicated Spyware Researchers equipped with extremely intelligent set of tools, a Research lab with a large number of high configuration  Pentium desk top PCs located in India and USA. It also includes many high speed internet connections, Servers as well as many automated tools working round-the-clock designed and developed in-house by our teams. Our tools include Spyfinder and System monitoring tools which traverse bad sites and keywords in the wild and very quickly download the malware, examine them , study the behavior pattern and add  the suspicious entries for the Spyware database releases. This data filters  rigorously through  our mammoth size (and ever growing,  this is why we call it  White Elephant ! ) white database to eliminate any possibility of insertion of legitimate Files and Registry entries into our Spyware database. System. This addition and evaluation and filtering processes are designed to learn continuously  so  less legitimate entries can enter the Spyware Database and make it more robust. 

We do not stop here, after this a Spyware Reviewers Team pitches in and then finally the Test Team which goes through Regression, Black Box and Automated testing to make sure data contains ONLY Spyware data. Updates are  released on our servers and you get them through Live update. Right now we release 4 updates in a typical day and includes more than 15-20 new and modified Spyware Detection.

Our highly qualified Spyware Development team is not only busy adding newer modules to combat the new techniques that Spyware program are deploying but also new patches to make sure that not only current attack of most frequent spyware is detected  but also their future variants are detected as well when they release them! Staying a a step ahead of them . Recent Product Upgrades include Rootkit Scanner for files and registry entries hidden by Spyware, enhanced Signature based detection for Trojans which are deploying random files, drivers and other mechanism to make detection complex and Heuristic scanner which uses a multi-step algorithm based on File structure and PE information  to detect the presence of spyware without the need for any signature database, resulting in Zero-Day detection. The results of Heuristics Scan  have been analyzed using probability of occurrence using more than 100000 Spyware Files and 18000 White Files to minimize the False positive ad we have achieved so far 11% success rate and still improving.
